Meta House offers an alternative night out in Phnom Penh with a mix of art-house films and documentaries, comedy, DJs, parties, talks and art exhibitions.

Meta House is run by a Phnom Penh based German film director, and is primarily a hub for local artists to develop their work in an international setting. There’s also a regular program of events mixing things cultural, as well as simple pleasures like comedy, dance parties and live music.

Meta House doesn’t mind digging into serious stuff  - screening provocative films and hosting talks on issues like the environment and other issues facing Cambodia and the world. There’s something on most nights.

There’s also food available - which we didn’t get to try.

Check out the Meta House schedule while visiting Phnom Penh to see what’s coming up.
