From its opening in the 1920s, until the 1990s, this was Vietnam’s only golf course. They're now ubiquitous across the country. Golf is the favoured sport of Vietnam's new rich. The Dalat Palace course remains one of the nicest and the cool climate is perfect for a hit.

Owned by the same people behind the redevelopment of the Dalat Palace and Du Parc hotels, Vietnam's first golf course has plenty of class. The club house is a charming colonial building covered in bougainvillea, with a restaurant and bar.

The grounds are beautifully kept and have just about managed to hold onto enough surrounding land to have an unbroken wooded perimeter.

Due to the rare cool climate, this is currently the only place in Vietnam where you can play a round of golf without fear of suffering from heatstroke.
