A totally bizarre architectural creation by the daughter of one of Vietnam’s most celebrated communist leaders, Truong Chinh.

Truong Chinh was one of Vietnam’s most successful communist leaders across four decades. He occupied various senior roles, including president and Communist Party General Secretary. There are plenty of streets across the country bearing his name.

Dalat’s Crazy House is the work of his daughter, Hang Nga. Nga is an architecture graduate of the University of Moscow and cites Gaudi as an inspiration.

In the entrance hall there’s a message that fails to clearly explain the meaning of the venture. Whatever its meaning, it’s worth passing by the Crazy House for what will be a uniquely surreal Vietnam experience.

If you’re completely taken with the place, you can stay. The Crazy House is also a guesthouse.
