La Residencia, which opened in 2015, is a modern hotel located on the fringe of Hoi An’s old town in a new urban area. Rooms are fancy, pricing's reasonable.

Location

About 500 metres walk from the centre of Hoi An’s old town - the sights, restaurants and bars.

Review

La Residencia Hotel is located in a new area of Hoi An where a number of other high-rise hotels (in Hoi An that means 6 - 7 floors), with good access to the old town are located. Its 49 rooms are tastefully decorated with cool tiles and colonial era touches.

La Residencia is located right by the MGallery hotel by Accor and it seems very possible that the owners have borrowed a tad in concept and design from the neighbours. La Residencia's pricing is much lower however.

The attractive lead-in rooms, known as Junior Suites, aren't really suites, but at 40sqm, they’re a good size.

The Residencia Suites at 58 sqm are very generous.

All rooms have balconies looking over rural countryside and the complicated developments that are diminishing those rural scenes.

There’s an under cover pool - which seems a shame in Hoi An, as well as a spa and small fitness centre.

Brief
Free wifi, breakfast, small undercover pool, balconies.
