A simple, family-friendly homestay set amidst rice fields and fruit farms outside Ben Tre town.

Cocohut is owned by Le, an old friend based in Saigon who also holds down a high-powered job in advertising. It’s set on a piece of family-owned land surrounded by rice paddies and fruit orchards. It’s been set up specifically with families in mind but it’s great spot for any travellers looking for a quiet Mekong Delta retreat.

There are two basic wooden bungalows and two more conventional villas to choose from.

The home cooked food’s a highlight - and that’s fortunate since nearby restaurant options are limited.

Cocohut’s a good base for local walks and cycling as well wider delta exploration by boat.

Disclosure
Rusty Compass recommendations are always independent. We recommend the places we think you should know about. That's it. Cocohut is owned by an old friend, Le - but we paid our way on our visit. No money changed hands for this listing.
