Coco Beach was the first resort to open on the beach in Mui Ne back in 1995. It's still one of the nicest places to stay - with a simple, rustic feel, green grounds and a pleasant patch of beach.

Review

When it opened in 1995, Coco Beach was the first resort in Mui Ne - and the first international resort in Vietnam. The owners, got to pick the best patch of beach they could find. And they did well.

Coco Beach has held up well against the barrage of more recent entrants and remains one of the nicest minimalist bungalow properties in Mui Ne. It's still run by the founders - German Jutta and her French husband Daniel

This is the place where you can imagine Mui Ne in the 90s before mass tourism arrived.

Architecture, ambience and people

Coco Beach Resort's 34 villas are sparsely set over manicured grounds. They may be a tad too manicured - but we love the greenery of the place. The dark timber of the traditional style bungalows sits harmoniously amidst the green grounds, the white sand and the blue ocean.

Bungalows are TV free and delightfully simple. The interiors are in nautical style.

From the inside, bungalows feel a little tight. A large slice of their 34sqm has been devoted to the balcony. But Coco Beach is all about the common areas, the balconies and the sea. You won't be spending too much time indoors.

Bungalows are raised above ground ensuring they enjoy the full benefit of the fresh onshore breeze that gives Mui Ne its pleasant climate all year round.

The beachfront villas are especially nice.

There are three 3 family villas with two rooms.

The pool is a little small for a resort of this size - head down to the sea for your swims.

Facilities brief
Beach massages, restaurants, bar, travel bookings (inc. flight confirmation), free wifi. No TVs in rooms.
