A beautiful sprawling property built into the mountainside overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. It's been recently upgraded and features a confusingly broad range of room types from mid-priced to deluxe.

Location

Built into the hillside on the perimeter of Kep National Park looking over the Gulf of Thailand. The town and the beach are 15 - 20 minutes walk down a steep incline. Seclusion is part of the concept here.

Review

Sprawling over a jungle hillside with 23 rooms, Veranda Resort has recently upgraded both rooms, facilities and prices. The natural setting is exquisite and the Veranda's stone and timber combination fits in beautifully.

Rooms are spacious and tastefully done in timber with local decorative touches. Balconies look across the forested hills to the sea.

The large salt water pool is the nicest in Kep.

Staff get mixed reviews from very good to very poor. We sensed the similar during our visit.

Travellers with mobility issues may experience difficulty getting around Veranda Resort.

Facilities brief:
Air con, free wifi, salt water pool, flat screen cable TV, buffet breakfast, balconies with views. Credit cards accepted.
