Friends serves up a Khmer tapas menu for a good cause right by the National Museum.

Friends restaurant, like Romdeng, combines philanthropy and good food. It's the original creation of the people at the NGO Friends International, operating as a hospitality training school for disadvantaged young people. The downtown setting close by the National Museum, is in a colonial era building. The menu is slightly confusing with Western and Khmer dishes served tapas style. We've enjoyed our visits though some patrons come away more enthusiastic about the cause, the young people and the setting, than the food.
