Sydney's locked down, heritage destruction gets an exemption - the end of Willow Grove

In Sydney, heritage destruction stops for nobody. In the midst of its worst COVID outbreak and against the wishes of community leaders, the demolition of Willow Grove in Parramatta commenced at the end of August. The quaint Italianate Villa from the 1870s is being removed to make way for the controversial Powerhouse Museum relocation - a project as questionable as the demolition. We lament the loss of Willow Grove and the wider neglect of heritage in Parramatta.
