Mui Ne has become one of the main centres of kitesurfing in South East Asia and hundreds of kites fill the sky when the winds are right. Windsurfing is also popular.

Mui Ne's biggest draw for active travellers is its booming kitesurfing scene. The winds are right between August and April and kitesurfing rules the beach during these months. Swimmers will need to work in a swim around the kitesurfers. There don't seem to be any controls or safety precautions in place.

Windsurfing is also popular. There's no diving in Mui Ne. Swimming varies depending on water cleanliness.

To the alarm of some, jetskis are also increasingly popular.

If you're travelling in low-season, it will be blissfully quiet so none of these things present a hazard. At busy times though, it can be pretty hairy for swimmers.
