Lovely homestay overlooking a quiet stretch of An Bang beach. Rustic charm abounds. The coffee’s good too.

This is one of the nicest little guest houses we’ve seen in Hoi An - right on An Bang beach. Tan Thanh Garden Homestay combines simple rooms of rustic charm, gardens and great views across a quiet stretch of An Bang beach. It’s not really a homestay - like most homestay in Hoi An. That’s fine.

Sounds of Silence cafe at the front serves excellent coffee too.

There are only 7 rooms and they range in size from 25sqm to 45sqm.

Some rooms have ocean views. The shaded gardens look right across the beach. There's no pool - but the beach is so close it doesn't matter.

It’s a perfect place for an unpretentious beach escape. Remember though that Hoi An’s winter months aren’t for swimmers and sunbathing.
