Introduction

Last updated 30 Oct 2018

Hoi An’s World Heritage listed old streets make it one of the most attractive places in all of Vietnam. The word is out and at certain times of the year, crowds pack the former merchant town.In summer, visitors descend on Hoi An for the beaches. Nearby An Bang beach has become a destination in its own right. And the rural countryside around the town is as perfect as ever - great for cycling and photography. Stay a while and check out a cooking class and visit the Cham ruins at My Son. For the best experience, spend at least 3 days in and around Hoi An - check the seasons for weather and crowd risks!

This independent guide to the best things to see and do in Hoi An was updated in October 2018. Everything has been tried and we curate with you the traveller in mind.
