Local seafood restaurants abound in Nha Trang. They're friendly, noisy gatherings. Definitely nothing fancy. They tend to be in clusters. Some of the most pleasant are along both banks of the Cai River, which is north of the tourist enclave on the fringe of the town.

This area's a good spot for an afternoon walk too. We’ve eaten at lots of these places over the years - though we couldn’t name a particular favourite.

You can head further north overthe Tran Phu bridge for more options.

This area is easily reached by bicycle from the tourist centre of town and isn't not far from the Po Nagar Cham Towers.

Spend some time exploring the Cai River waterfront, checking out the fishing fleet, walking east towards to ocean from Po Nagar, and finish up with a beer and a seafood feast along Bo Ke Bac.
