Hoan Kiem lake is the spiritual and geographic heart of Vietnam's capital, Hanoi. It's also a special place of sanctuary for the city's elderly. They descend on the lake each day for Tai Chi, a walk or to chat with friends.

In this Hanoi Insights HD video, Mark Bowyer meets some of the characters of the lake and takes a look at the history behind the "Lake of the Restored Sword" legend.
