The colonial era Bokor Mountain Lodge has long underperformed traveller expectations. It's recently been renovated (again) so we're looking forward to taking another look soon.

Location

Right in the centre of town - quite a distance from Bokor Mountain. Good access to everything.

Review

Bokor Mountain Lodge’s name and story are as evocative as any Kampot traveller might wish. During the past decade, the romance for most travellers has evaporated the minute they set foot in a room. The owners have advised that there have been further renovations late in 2011. We're looking forward to taking a fresh look soon!

So for now, we're unable to give a recommendation one way or another on Bokor Mountain Lodge. If you're considering it, pop in for a look. There are plenty of other options nearby - providing hotels aren't full...

The front rooms are definitely the best option. They may be a little noisier but the river views and natural light are a bonus.

The restaurant and bar area downstairs is one of the hotel’s best assets and is popular both with hotel guests and casual visitors.

Brief:
Wifi, air-conditioning, cable television, open air riverside restaurant.
