There are street food options all over Siem Reap. We've only explored a handful. If you feel like experimenting, the best measure of the likely quality of any eatery is the size of the gathered crowd of locals.

Street food options are plentiful right in Siem Reap's heart. There are boisterous local eateries in Siem Reap night market.

Around the Old Market and on 2 Thnou St at the end of Pub St there are a bunch of simple local eatieries - the best of which are fine.

There are small local stalls at the Old Market serving great cheap local food.

There are also plenty of local style eateries on Wat Bo Rd and on Sivutha Blvd north of the Hotel de la Paix serving simple Khmer cuisine. Look for healthy crowds of locals.
