Perhaps Saigon's best known eatery for getting a Vietnamese pancake - known as banh xeo.

Review

Few local Saigon eateries have stayed as true to their rustic roots as Banh Xeo 46. Barely a thing has changed here in 20 years - and it's as popular as ever with locals and foreigners craving Vietnam's own special pancake - banh xeo. Banh xeo's a tasty assembly of shrimp, pork, onion, bean sprouts and turmeric in a rice flour wrap. While banh xeo's the specialty here, they serve up other dishes including chicken wings and fried squid. Don't ask for rice though. Beers flow freely and cheaply. Banh Xeo 46AS has been a great all round local experience for decades and it's still good value for money. It's located just off Hai Ba Trung St opposite the pink church at Tan Dinh market.
