Classic Hanoian noodle dishes - bun cha, bun ca, banh cuon, bun nem, and more, in a cosy family run space right downtown.

Saigon’s home to a big community of Hanoians. Places like Bunn Oi help to serve their nostalgia for the dishes of home. If you’re already into Hanoi’s noodle dishes, or if you’re keen to try them, Bunn Oi’s a relaxed venue for some culinary exploration.

Bunn Oi’s owned by Hanoian Hanh. Her mother takes charge in the kitchen. We got to know Bunn Oi because we’re neighbours - our cafe, The Old Compass, is in the alley next door. We pop by whenever we need a dose of northern noodles - which is quite often.

Disclosure
Rusty Compass recommendations are always independent. We list the places we think you should know about. That's it. We've paid our way on all visits to Bunn Oi - but we do know the owners. No inducement of any kind was received for this listing.
