Sifting through the plethora of French restaurants in Saigon takes some effort. After much persuasion from friends, we finally made it to Le Corto. We’re glad we did.
Owned by long-term French expats and French Khmer chef, Sakal, Le Corto may be the best place in District 1 for modern French cuisine in a classy setting.
The menu is regularly refreshed but traditional fare is a constant. And Le Corto’s well priced for the quality of the food and ambience. Staff were very good too.
The lunchtime set menu is especially good value.

Rusty Compass listings are always independent. We recommend the places we think you should know about. That’s it. We paid our way at Le Corto and received no inducement for this recommendation.
