Price guide: Mains around US$15
One of the nicest spaces in town in an old French era opium refinery, The Refinery is tucked away in a small square that's become one of Saigon’s best food and entertainment precincts. The French bistro style food is good, reasonably priced and the decoration fist the theme. Refinery expanded in 2015 and the loyal devotees, mainly Saigon expats, are filling the new space with ease. It's busy for lunch and dinner and the outdoor area is great for an evening glass of wine as well. Refinery still allows smoking inside and out.

Rusty Compass listings are always independent. We list the places we think are worth knowing about. Our Featured Listings allow a small selection of businesses already recommended by us, to pay a fee for a place at the top of our list. That’s it. Featured Listings have no impact on reviews, or on the curation and independence of our lists.
