Flashpacker boutique hotel set close by the river and rice fields between Hoi An's old town and Cua Dai Beach. Tasteful bright rooms, green grounds, pool, friendly staff and good value for money.

Location

Rock Villa is located off Cua Dai Rd between Hoi An town and the beach. It's an authentic rural spot down a small lane amidst rice fields and close by the river. The town and beach are 5 - 10 minutes by taxi or 15 - 20 by bicycle.

Rock Villa Review

We’re always on the lookout for hotels and resorts with design character. That usually means they don’t overuse concrete, they don’t degrade their setting, their rooms are bright and airy and the have welcoming green common areas. And of course they should be attractive too.

That combination can be surprisingly rare. And in a way,  it's even more special when it's found in an inexpensive accommodation.

Rock Villa gets all that right - and yes, it's sharply priced too.

I found it a comfortable place to be with good common areas and airy, bright rooms. The pool area is perfect for a hot Hoi An summer’s day.

I stayed across two different room types and paid around $35US per night.

The staff were friendly and helpful but the service is hands off. I didn't notice service staff around at night - just security and they doon't speak English. It all worked fine for me but it wouldn't work for someone wanting to be fussed over.

Rock Villa is reducing its plastic use and offers free water from a recyclable tank for guests - you can refill your own water bottle. Simple thing but it makes a big difference.
