Haven has captured the hearts of travellers and expats in Siem Reap with its open friendly space, good food and social enterprise concept. There's a mix of Asian and Western cuisine as well as a selection of vegetarian options.
Run by Swiss couple Sara and Paul, Haven operates as a training restaurant under the banner "where helping tastes good". Not a lot of help is required of guests however - apart from paying for the meal!
Haven employs disadvantaged local young people and in addition to providing them with salaried work, trains them in hospitality.
Paul and Sara fell in love with Cambodia during travels in 2008 and set up Haven from there.
The food's good and carefully sourced. The expanded setting is nicely done. Enjoy!
