Viroth's was among the first in Siem Reap to offer Khmer cuisine in a cool space, and it remains one of the best places for a smart casual bite. Set in an open, airy space with a traditional wooden house and gardens, it boasts an extensive menu of Khmer and other Asian favourites. This is a tourist restaurant - done well, with friendly and attentive staff. Prices are reasonable for the setting and quality. The French and Cambodian owners of Viroth's, have moved on to bigger things and now own two design hotels nearby. The hotels are worth a look too.

Rusty Compass listings are always independent. We list the places we think are worth knowing about. Our Featured Listings allow a small selection of businesses already recommended by us, to pay a fee for a place at the top of our list. That’s it. Featured Listings have no impact on reviews, or on the curation and independence of our lists.
