Angkor What has been quenching the thirsts of temple weary backpackers for almost as long as they’ve been arriving in Siem Reap. It pulls no punches disclosing to arriving revellers that it’s been "irresponsibly" serving alcohol since 1998. There isn’t much to the formula but judging by the euphoric crowds that descend each night, it works. Black walls covered in graffiti, a  bar in darkness, jugs, jam jars, thumping pop dance tunes and hordes of young travellers. There. You get it.
