You probably should banish images of hidden alley cool that the name Urban Alley might conjure. Urban cool this is not. It’s a characterless 90s high-rise on a picturesque urban alley. But the Urban Alley is friendly and well located with some bright, spacious, well priced rooms. Go for rooms at the front of the building for space, big windows and plenty of natural light. Priced at around $40US, Urban Alley is located close by Hanoi’s food street (Tong Duy Tan St) and a convenient distance to Ba Dinh Square and the Old Quarter. We had a good stay here in 2018 and paid our way.
