Danang hotels guide

Introduction

There are plenty of good value, comfortable hotels in Danang town but for most travellers, the only real reason to be in Danang will be to stay at one of the resorts that line the beach.

Of a large list of contenders, for now, we've selected just two beach resorts for our listing - Fusion Maia, south of Danang and Intercontinental Danang Sun Peninsula on Son Tra Peninsula in the north.

Both are special for different reasons - and expensive too.

Fusion Maia wins points for its low-rise, clean design, all inclusive spa concept and a cosy welcoming atmosphere. The newly opened Intercontinental meanwhile is the most extravagant and spectacular resort in Vietnam.

The absence of things small and eco-conscious on Danang's beach stretch is a shame. The city seems very much enamoured of large scale development.

The same beach strip runs all the way to Cua Dai Beach in Hoi An and we've included the Nam Hai Resort in our Hoi An listing since it's closer to the old town than Danang city.

If you're looking for more of an experience of Vietnam, stay closer to Hoi An where there's a large range of hotels. For our selection of Hoi An hotels, check here.

But if an escape from Vietnam into luxury is your aim, check these places out.
