A refreshingly simple, friendly, French owned eatery on the fringe of Hoi An's old town.

There’s not much to this place. But it works. The two French owners are exceptionally welcoming. And they keep things very simple —  a refreshing change in a town where many places serve everything from local specialties to burgers and pizza.

The menu’s concise and there are daily specials. Great for a casual glass of wine and a bite. By day they serve coffee and sandwiches too. The night I went, one of the owners stepped out the back and banged out a tasty pasta.

Le Cabanon looks over the Thu Bon River.

This is a good place to head for a break from Hoi An's local fare.
