Nu’s owner Phuc (pronounce "u" as you do in "put") describes his place as an eatery rather than a restaurant. It’s wonderfully simple - but don’t come here expecting gourmet cuisine. The tiny menu features a handful of dishes, Asian and Western, all handpicked by Phuc. Nu, means female or feminine in Vietnamese and Phuc named the place after his mother. The food’s good but the space is the real charmer. Pop by for a light meal and plan to stay and chill for a while. There are also smoothies and wines by the glass. Nu's down a small alley on the western side of Hoi An's Japanese bridge.

Rusty Compass listings are always independent. We list the places we think are worth knowing about. Our Featured Listings allow a small selection of businesses already recommended by us, to pay a fee for a place at the top of our list. That’s it. Featured Listings have no impact on reviews, or on the curation and independence of our lists.
