A popular choice with Hanoi expats, the basic but friendly Chez Loan’s location in Ninh Binh’s scenic countryside is its best point.

Location

In the Ninh Binh countryside a short distance from Tam Coc and Bich Dong pagoda. Great base for cycling and touring. It's isolated so you’ll likely be doing dinner here each night. We found the food fine.

Review

Chez Loan springs out of Ninh Binh’s rice paddies and is surrounded by the region’s distinctive limestone mountains. It may be a very basic hotel but its setting is one of the best in the area.

The French speaking Vietnamese owner, Loan, is friendly and helpful. She’s made Chez Loan the Hanoi expat hotel of choice in Ninh Binh.

Rooms are basic and with the exception of a few with balconies, they don’t make great use of the views. But that’s OK, you can easily get outside and enjoy them close-up.

Brief:
Free wifi, breakfast
