Accommodations are not the high point of a stay in Ninh Binh. It’s a shame that such a naturally beautiful area has so far spawned such an unimaginative crop of hotels.
Ninh Binh town is not a pretty place either.
Happily, you’ll be spending most of your time here outside of your hotel and the town. And while the hotels sure aren’t prettty, they are friendly, comfortable, clean and well priced. They’re a very adequate base for your exploration of the area.
It’s worth considering staying away from the town closer to the sights you’ve come here to experience. Chez Loan and The Long hotels aren’t pretty either but they’re settings are a definite improvement on Ninh Binh town.
One notable exception is the newly opened Ana Mandara Ninh Binh. It’s a little remote and feels deserted at the moment but this luxury option is definitely worth considering for those looking for some serious comfort in Ninh Binh.
