A solid if bland option downtown. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Avoid the US$10 lead in rooms.

In Ninh Binh town - which doesn’t have much going for it. The scenic parts of the area are only a short cycle away.

The Thuy Anh hotel is centrally located, friendly, but definitely not in tune with the area’s natural setting. Still, it’s one of the better options in town and it’s well priced.

Make sure you get a room with a window and bear in mind that rooms in the front section of the 5 story building are only accessible by the stairs.

The Thuy Anh has recently purchased some new bikes that are a definite step up from the other bicycles we’ve seen for rent in town. They rent for US$5 per day.

Free wifi, cable TV, breakfast, relatively good bicycles
